Demon Records are delighted to announce the next reissue from Kim Wilde039s classic MCA years on LP again for the first time in more than 35 years.Now released on red vinyl and as an eyecatching picture disc for the first time, Close was Kim039s sixth studio album, originally released in June 1988. It includes five UK Top 40 singles including 039You Came039 No. 3 and US No. 41, 039Four Letter Word039 No. 6, 039Never Trust A Stranger039 No. 7, 039Hey Mister Heartache039 No. 31, and 039Love In The Natural Way039 No. 32.Both formats come with the bonus tracks 039Tell Me Where You Are039, originally the BSide of 039Hey Mister Heartache039, and the 7inch edit of Shep Pettibone039s remix of 039You Came039.Kim039s growing confidence as a songwriter saw her name attached to all but two of the ten songs that originally appeared on the album. 039Four Letter Word039 by Marty and Ricki Wilde and a cover of Todd Rundgren039s ballad 039Lucky Guy039 were the only tracks that didn039t give Kim a cowriting credit.Junior Giscombe returned to add backing vocals to the funky 039Hey Mister Heartache039, while Bias Boshell, writer of Kiki Dee039s 03974 hit 039I039ve Got The Music In Me039, was drafted in to add keyboards to 039Lucky Guy039.Once again, Ricky Wilde was behind the production desk, where he shared the task with Tony Swain. His significant success in the 03980s saw him work with Imagination on 039Body Talk039, Spandau Ballet on 039True039, Alison Moyet on 039Love Resurrection039, and Bananarama on 039Cruel Summer039.
