Product Description
Ah, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the band that's been making us feel simultaneously funky and uncomfortable since the '80s. Their latest album, Santiago Serenade, is a wild ride through the streets of Chile, both metaphorically and literally (I mean, have you seen Anthony Kiedis on a skateboard?). From the opening track, "Salsa Samba Sizzle," to the closing ballad, "Taco Tuesday Blues," the Chili Peppers take us on a journey that's as spicy as a bowl of jalapeños. Flea's basslines are so infectious, they could probably cure the common cold. And Chad Smith's drumming is as tight as the skinny jeans he insists on wearing, even though it's 2021. But let's talk about Kiedis' vocals. The man's voice is like a fine wine - it gets better with age, and it's best enjoyed while dancing around in your underwear. And the lyrics! Oh, the lyrics. They're like poetry, if poetry was written by a group of hyperactive teenagers hopped up on Mountain Dew and Funkadelic records. Overall, Santiago Serenade is a rollercoaster of an album. It's raucous, it's rebellious, and it's ridiculously fun. So grab a margarita, throw on your most ridiculous hat, and let the Red Hot Chili Peppers serenade you all the way to Santiago. Trust me, you won't regret it. Just don't blame me if you end up with a sudden urge to get a tattoo of Flea's face on your backside.
