Product Description

Ah, the 80s – a time of questionable fashion choices, questionable music videos, and, apparently, questionable business practices. Men at Work's debut album, "Business As Usual," takes us back to a time when the mere mention of the word "work" was enough to induce a collective groan from the population. And yet, somehow, these Aussie rockers managed to make the monotony of the 9-5 grind sound... well, not so bad. From the opening notes of "Who Can It Be Now?" to the infectious chorus of "Down Under," Men at Work serve up a healthy dose of infectious hooks, witty lyrics, and, dare I say it, actual talent. Frontman Colin Hay's distinctive vocals are the icing on the cake, injecting each track with a sense of urgency and emotion that is sorely lacking in today's cookie-cutter pop landscape. But what really sets "Business As Usual" apart from the pack is its irreverent sense of humour. Songs like "Be Good Johnny" and "Helpless Automation" poke fun at the mundanity of modern life, while tracks like "Underground" and "Touching the Untouchables" tackle weightier subjects like politics and social injustice with a sly wink and a nudge. In short, "Business As Usual" may not reinvent the wheel, but it does remind us that sometimes, a little levity is all we need to make it through the daily grind. So dust off your shoulder pads, turn up the volume, and prepare to be transported back to a time when work was just another four-letter word. Cheers, mate.
