When the 8.0T treadmill was designed it had the patient and therapist in mind at all times, providing facilities that make life easier for the therapist and a quicker recovery for the patient. These facilities include the widest speed range on the market, enhancing safety with zero-speed braking, incline and decline options, a deck-lift mechanism, forward and reverse belt motion that facilitate forward and backwards walking as well as measure step length symmetry. The adjustable, gas cylinder-assisted parallel handrails offer handrail support for added patient safety. Adjustments can also accommodate users of various heights and fitness abilities. Handrails adjust 63.5 to 89 cms in height, 51 to 85 cms in width, and the length extends to the full length of the deck. For patients with mobility problems getting on and off the treadmill safely is paramount. The 8.0T treadmill provides a multi functional, removable step, that provides a lower step up height for those people who require a bit more stability. In addition the treadmill offers a Deck Lift function which lowers and raises the whole deck, displaying step height measurements from step platform to deck. The Deck Lift can also be helpful if a patient has to be placed on the treadmill by a harness to then exercise unweighted or you need to physically assist the movement of each leg without kneeling on the floor.
