The Tillett B8 is a lightweight seat with a low profile ideal for reducing weight and lowering the centre of gravity by allowing the driver to sit lower in the car. The angle of the seat has been designed to replicate a production sports car so it provides an optimum driver position which is comfortable for long road journeys yet safe and supportive when on the track. Standard size: Drivers up to 120kg with a 36" (91.4cm) waistIdeal for road or track day useThe Tillett B8 seat is designed and manufactured in the UK using a twin skin design which keeps the seat very rigid and allows for increased chassis feedback to the driver. Although the seat is narrow is it able to accommodate most driver shapes and sizes. Lower side bolsters allow for easier entry and exit while still providing great levels of lateral support. The ergonomic shape of the seat has been designed to provide optimum support with high levels of comfort even when used without padding.The Tillett B8 seat features harness slots in the back and base allowing 3, 4, 5 or 6 point harnesses to be used as well as standard 3 point seat belts. The back harness slots have been positioned to allow the use of an FHR device.The B8 is available in 2 sizes which relate to the seat at the widest point. Both options have the same internal dimensions which are suitable for drivers weighing up to 120kg approx. The 44.5cm wide version has a rolled edge which has a better appearance and is suited to saloon or or GT cars whereas the 43cm version has this edge removed to facilitate fitting into narrower cockpits such as Lotus Elise / Exige or kit cars.The B8 seat is side mounted and a range of suitable mounts are available separately including vehicle specific mounts for the Lotus Elise / Exige.
