EBC P2DK Brake Disc and Bluestuff NDX Pad Kits are designed with high-performance/track drivers in mind. The discs are a 2 piece design which reduces vibration and warping whilst also reducing weight compared to a traditional 1 piece cast disc. Suitable for both road and track use, the majority of applications are R90 approved, meaning they are road legal in the UK unless stated otherwise.EBC have designed this to be a beginner track day and short-duration race pad. It offers outstanding fade resistance, offering excellent stopping power at higher temperatures, but also works well from cold. One step further than Yellowstuff, this means you have a pad that works fine at lower temperatures for daily driving, but only gets better as it gets hotter. Unlike some of their other compounds, there is an increase in dust and noise, but this is to be expected with a track-focused compound. Pad life should be even better than Yellowstuff with the compound receiving special treatment for heat resistance.The discs included in the EBC P2DK kits are O/E size so are designed to fit with standard calipers without modification. They are a 2 piece design comprising of a lightweight alloy centre mounting bell and an outer friction ring made from high carbon alloy reducing the risk of cracking at high temperatures and also providing a longer disc life.The 2 disc parts are held together using EBC's patented SD drive bobbins. This system allows the outer ring to float independently from the mounting bell, reducing stresses through heat expansion. This hugely reduces the risk of warping the disc even in full-race conditions. The SD drive bobbin system features an anti-rattle clip for totally silent operation.A further benefit of a 2 piece disc system is the cost of replacement when the discs become worn. With the EBC P2DK kit, you only need to replace the outer ring, saving you money in the long run.
