Yellow ed - Blue

The aptly named 'Yellow - Red - Blue' is a well known painting by Wassily Kandinsky from 1925 and is considered to be one of his best loved works. Painted in primary colours, this artwork can be split in two halves - the first, on the left, being made up of mostly straight and sharp lines and angles. The second side, on the right, has a darker mix of colours with the shapes becoming much more rounded, abstract and fluid. We think this also represents two sides of puzzling quite well. On the one hand you have the challenging and problem-solving aspect of puzzling, while on the other, you have the deeply relaxing and mindfulness side.
