Application Instructions. Prepare Surface: Ensure substrate is clean, solid, and treated with the appropriate Mapei waterproofing membrane.. Apply First Coat: Spread a layer of waterproof coating (e.g. Mapelastic Smart) over the area to be sealed.. Embed Tape: Position Mapeband 120mm into the fresh membrane and press down firmly to embed the fabric edges.. Apply Second Coat: Cover the tape with a second layer of waterproof coating to ensure full encapsulation.. Limitations. Not suitable as a standalone waterproofing system — must be used in conjunction with approved Mapei waterproof coatings.. Do not stretch the rubber centre excessively during installation..
