The polyester fabrication has higher strength and increased abrasion resistance for better durability whilst the merino wool has a unique quality, which will help lower your temperature when you start to overheat and warm you up when your temperature is low.  The Merino Wool is soft against the skin and works hard to ensure long lasting comfort and warmth. Merino not only works to keep you warm by trapping heat within its fibres, it also manages moisture to keep you comfortable and dry at all times. Merino is also naturally very moisture wicking, ensuring that moisture is not stuck between the two layers and forces it to the outer layers where it can be easily evaporated. As well as this, the Merino is also naturally anti-microbial preventing the growth of odour causing microbes, keeping your gear smelling fresher for longer.  The half-zip construction exists for complete temperature control. In colder conditions it can be worn up to seal in escaping heat or, when temperature begin to rise in can be worn down to release an intolerable heat build-up.
