Each rod contains a powerful silane/siloxane formulation housed in a rigid fibre cartridge, allowing direct insertion into pre-drilled holes. Once inserted, the active ingredient diffuses deep into the wall structure, creating a permanent barrier against rising damp. BBA-approved and ideal for use in brick, stone, and mortar substrates.. Cure Time: Forms a barrier typically within 2–4 weeks under normal conditions. Coverage: Approx. 1 rod per 120mm of wall thickness (1 metre length). Application Instructions. Drill Holes: Drill 12mm diameter holes at regular intervals along the mortar bed, typically 120mm apart and at the recommended height.. Insert Rods: Push one Dryrod into each hole until fully recessed.. Seal Holes: Plug or repoint the holes to restore the wall finish and retain treatment.. Allow to Cure: The active ingredient disperses into the wall, forming a damp-proof course over the coming weeks.. Limitations. Not suitable for walls below 95mm in thickness..
