Stormor Mono shelving starter bays with Active Coat germ protection Featuring a shelving system that is completely adjustable the starter bays are compatible with other Stormor systems. The steel shelves are on a 25 mm pitch and can take up to 78 kg on 1 metre shelves and 45 kg in respect of 1 250 mm shelves. The capacity for each bay is as much as 1000 kg. For purposes of hygiene the bays have been given a Biocote protection which helps to combat the growth of bacteria such as MRSA and E. coli. The Biocote protection also helps to reduce the likelihood of cross-contamination occurring. A starter bay of shelving differs from an extension bay because a starter bay of shelving is able to stand on its own as it has two end frames / sets of uprights (one at each end of the bay) whereas an extension shelving bay only has one end frame or set of uprights which means it needs to be joined to another bay of the same type of shelving to enable it to stand up. Customers ordering the Mono Shelving Starter Bay should note that the apparatus should be fixed to the floor or wall for shelving with a height to depth ratio of greater than 4:1 for the top loaded shelf. The uprights and shelves are available to order in light grey. Uprights are also available in a choice of suave blue or graphite grey.
