The gauges are back lit to ensure readability in all ambient light conditions.An oil temperature gauge is an useful item as it indicates when the engine oil is up to temperature. Most engine wear occurs when the oil is cold so it is best not to work your engine too hard until the oil warms up. The easy to read scale shows 50-150 degrees C.This oil temperature gauge is electrically operated and requires a signal from a sender unit to operate.
