Bilstein B6 Damptronic Sports Dampers are high-performance monotube shock absorbers, complete with wiring and solenoids to connect to your vehicles factory electronic damping system. Fully compatible with whatever electronic damping system your vehicle came with from the factory, these offer multiple damper settings designed to correspond with the original settings on your dampers. These dampers will probably be firmer than your original equipment. Higher rate valving and, in most cases, upside-down monotube design make these firmer than original equipment in most cases. Firmer dampers give improved grip and handling, and pairs very well with lowering springs.Most B6s are monotube dampers and as such have a wider diameter piston area, and the oil and gas have no opportunity to mix. This makes them smooth and controlled and helps resist heat fade.They come fully equipped with adjustable valving, solenoids, and the wiring needed to connect to whatever factory electronic damping your vehicle comes with. This means the same number of damper settings, designed for the same purpose as the originals. These correspond to whatever the original setting was, so a comfort setting will still correspond to softer valving. A sports setting will be firmer and so on.This means upgrading your electronic damping equipped vehicle no longer represents any loss of convenience or extra bother disabling the factory system.Also ideal for use when towing / with tow vehicles.For some vehicles, an insert style damper rather than a complete strut will be supplied.On a small number of vehicles, where required, an uprated twin-tube damper is supplied.
