This 2-piece hybrid bush design easily pairs the two different chassis components together, to complete this popular handling modification, despite the different bracket offsets on these models. Offering a free-rotation design the inner hexagonal profile perfectly matches the E46 wishbone's hex bush mount, while the outer dimensions match the E30/E36 'Lollipop' mounting bracket. This hybrid bush design allows modders to achieve an increase in negative camber, greater steering angle clearnace and a 1" track widening to achieve outstanding handling and feedback. Most cars come with rubber bushes in their suspension from the factory. While this is fine for road use, offering good NVH (noise, vibration & handling) properties and low cost, for track use, OE rubber bushes can quickly prove to be the weak link to your suspension, especially after upgrading other performance components like tyres and suspension. With age and wear, rubber bushes can introduce undesirable compliance, which can allow motion in all directions, not just the intended one the suspension component was designed to move in. This can negatively affect the alignment of the car under load, introducing geometry and handling characteristics that you don't expect or necessarily want.Powerflex bushes are manufactured from tough polyurethane compounds that do not suffer from age-related perishing and failures seen in many OE rubber bushes. Their black series bushes use their hardest SHORE 95A compound. These bushes are on average a further 25% stiffer than their Road Series (purple) compound and up to around 80% stiffer than stock rubber bushes, whilst retaining similar OE-level noise absorption characteristics.In applications where additional vibration is not a problem, this makes for the very best response and control.
