The cages are manufactured from the same 45mm diameter x 2.5mm thick CDS tubing as their MUK approved Motorsport cages so they are designed to offer protection, not just to look good. They typically bolt to 4 points in the rear of the vehicle and in most cases include a cross brace in the rear stays and some applications have harness bars (see the cage image for the typical cage layout).
