The Yaris GR is already a hot hatch, but Forge has made it even hotter with the new Toyota Yaris GR Inlet Duct. This is regulated by a control flap that opens under a vacuum caused by full-throttle conditions. This however has a major design flaw as there is no actual airflow channeled to this inlet, meaning any air within the engine bay can enter the induction system.The Forge Inlet Duct induces air both for the main upper intake but also channels air through a large intake to the base of the airbox so that when the flap opens, cold air from the front of your car comes straight in rather than hot air from your engine bay.3D scans and CAD programs have been used to help develop this inlet duct to provide the most optimised flow channel possible for the smoothest airflow. This helps to reduce turbulence both in the upper and the lower intakes which, in turn, leads to increased engine performance. The OE duct is not fully sealed and allows for air to escape from the inlet, whereas the Forge part is designed to be as efficient as possible and has no leakage points. Thanks to the use of carbon fibre for the construction of this duct, it looks truly awesome in your engine bay. The sporty styling looks so good and fits in so well that it looks like it could have been OE. The British Forge emblem embossed in the top lets you know this is a genuine forge product.
