The AEM Electronics Water/Methanol Nozzle & Standard Controller Kit Without Tank is the ideal upgrade or replacement solution for the main delivery components of a Water/Methanol system, suitable for forced-induction petrol engine applications. This means that fluid will be injected in proportion to the amount of boost that is detected by the internal Mass Air Pressure (MAP) sensor. In other words, more boost equals more fluid. The controller housing has a moulded-in barbed nipple to accept a boost hose and a wiring legend on the back for easy installation. This (Standard) Boost Dependent controller is designed for forced induction petrol engines with a 35PSI maximum boost.The robust controller construction also features large, turn-resistant knobs and larger numbering to easily set accurate start and full activation points, covered status LED and test buttons for added splash resistance, a rear integrated positive-lock socket/connector system for securing the controller's redesigned colour-coded wiring harness and an easy to access integrated fuse and moulded mounting tabs.The kit is supplied without a fluid tank to allow the upgrade of existing systems or the use of a custom fluid storage system while utilising all the benefits of AEM Electronics' advanced Water/Methanol injection nozzles and controller system. Once the system is installed adjustments can be made to control the amount of water/methanol mixture that is fed into the inlet stream from the reservoir via the included innovative V3 injectors, which can result in significant horsepower gains.The V3 injector is a direct replacement/upgrade for the previous V2 design and uses unique Swirl Generator Technology that improves atomization, to deliver faster inlet temperature cooling and uses less fluid to maintain inlet air cooling. Three interchangeable nozzles are included that deliver 250cc, 500cc, and 1000cc of flow.AEM's internally-bypassed water/methanol injection 200 PSI pump is waterproof and safe for mounting in locations that are exposed to the elements. It does not cycle on and off and provides quiet, smooth operation. It features robust construction including integral hose fittings, EPDM seals and a Santoprene diaphragm that provides consistent and reliable fluid delivery.AEM's Water/Methanol controllers include an integrated "Boost Safe" output feature that monitors the entire injection system and triggers a ground signal via an output if it detects a voltage-related error (short, bad connection, broken wire, overheated pump, high or low voltage signal, etc.), allowing users to define their failsafe strategy from something as simple as flashing warning light to more advanced strategies like pulling boost or ignition or switching fuel maps on a standalone engine management system. When combined with the integral and highly accurate conductive low-fluid switch found in AEM tanks, "Boost Safe" can also put your engine in safe mode before the system runs dry.
