Ometepe trekking - Volcano Maderas By Happy Tours

Tourists can literally "Be in the Clouds" when climbing Volcano Maderas. It is one of the very few volcanoes in Nicaragua where cloud forests grow. They will explore the rich and diverse flora and fauna associated with the cloud forests. They can take in the spectacular view of the island from the viewpoint "El Mirador". In El Porvenir they get a glimpse of the island's past when walking through the petroglyphs. The guide will give a brief history of the volcano at the start of the tour and will provide interesting titbits throughout the tour. A light refreshment will be provided.
