Charming little town at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, with plenty to see and a close proximity to some of the UK's finest landscapes. There's plenty to see in Masham, with a selection of pubs, tearooms, a village shop and attractive historic church. The town is also home to two breweries, Black Sheep and Theakston, both of which offer guided tours. A signpost near the main square points out every one of the local attractions and businesses, a neat idea that's genuinely useful for visitors. Masham feels like a proud little town that's well cared for by its residents. It's easy to find parking, with lots available in the town centre, and there are public toilet facilities around the corner from The Bruce Arms pub. There are lots of holiday cottages in the area, making it a great base for visiting the Dales.

We stayed in Masham for a week and loved it. Great coffee shop, lovely pubs, two breweries, two butchers, friendly folk and masses to visit in Yorkshire. We had great days "sightseeing" but were always pleased to return to our apartment in Masham. Well worth a visit or book in for a week and use it as your base.

A wonderful Yorkshire market town on the edge of the dales. The town hosts two breweries, Theakstones and Black Sheep, both of which offer tours. The Black Sheep also hs a great restaurant offering good quality dishes. There are a number of interesting shops to explore along Silver Street and around the market square. There are a number of events worth looking out for, the biggest probably being the annual sheep fair held in the Autumn Whits lots dondi and see, obviously including plenty of sheep. There are many walks in the locality and Masham makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area.
