Very friendly, organised pharmacy. Would highly recommend them. Thank you for your excellent customer service
In short: IMO This is the best pharmacy in Middlesbrough. I have been going there over a year now and the staff are lovely and although the shop/OTC section is small they will happily point you next door to Savers for anything that they don't have. As far as I'm aware they're the only pharmacy for many miles that actually opens at 0830 instead of 0900. The 2 main female pharmacists have been nothing but polite to me as are the rest of the staff. I suspect most of the bad reviews are from chewy town dwellers who cant help but argue and complain, but that's just because of the location. I have never ever had a problem (but then again you get respect when you give respect) and have used just about every pharmacy in Middlesbrough as I have moved a lot in the last few years and lost my offshore career 6 years ago and have been on various medications since so am constantly in pharmacies. The place is small but always neat and tidy and unlike just about every other pharmacy round here the pharmacist will be there all day whereas most places wont give me my meds between 12-1 because they're controlled meds which have to be given out by the pharmacist and everywhere else they take a break then, but not here. Also getting ahold of most pharmcies by telephone usually means being stuck on hold for good bit but the few times I have called here to check something the call is always answered withing a few rings. This place is the best overall pharmacy in my opinion and the only other pharmacy that comes close is the one on Eastbourne Rd but that one is also full of idiots at times with it being so close to grove hill/saltersgill. Big thumbs up from me!
I recently visited tge express pharmacy on Linthorpe to collect a prescription for antibiotic, and I was thoroughly impressed with the service I received. The staff were friendly, A staff member greeted me promptly and I handed my prescription in, the staff member assured me that my wait time wouldn’t be long. The pharmacist took the time to explain how to use my medication, making me feel confident about my treatment. The pharmacy itself was clean and looked well-organised, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a smooth and positive experience, and I truly appreciate the care and attention I received. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pharmacy to others.
Never met such a rude and confrontational staff member in all my life. They have a big sign at the front saying abuse will not be tolerated against staff. I suspect this is due to them verbally attacking customers first and customers then arguing back. I had a missing item from my prescription (meant to be 6 items but 1 of the inhalers was missing off) so used 111 online to get an emergency script as my surgery was closed. My normal pharmacy didn't have any in stock but advised that this pharmacy did, so they gave me a Referral notice to give hand in. I went to collect the inhaler but with it being a referral from another pharmacy it had to go to the head pharmacist to sort. I should have renewed the prescription 2 months prior, but I don't always remember to take the 4 puffs a day on it. Her immediate response was to very angrily demand to know why I hadn't renewed it in time, then barked at me that she was well within her rights to refuse it and asked why I was now trying to get it. I told her I was going on holiday tomorrow which she snapped back "oh! and that's what's made you think is it!" She still continued to say she should not give me it and that I need to go back to my GP instead, but after a good minute or 2 of her belittling me she reluctantly agreed to give me it. I thanked her. I pay monthly for my prescriptions and when it came time to pay I said I'm on the pre payment scheme, she asked for my certificate, I said they don't give the cards any more it's all online, she again asked for the certificate and I said I can show you the bank statement where this months payment came out but other than that I have nothing, She then said "oh you pay monthly", then gave me the inhaler and stormed off not giving me anything to sign or tick like in normal practice. All in all it was a very surreal experience and noone should expect to be berated like this in a pharmacy of all places! Absolutely disgusting behaviour.
I came here to get an emergency supply of medication since I normally have my medication delivered, but I had run out of my medication and my medication was being delivered late. I tried explaining my situation, but the lady who spoke to me kept interrupting me whenever I tried to speak, and she refused to help me. She said that me trying to get an emergency supply of medication when GPs are open is “a waste of NHS resources.” Very rude and unprofessional. I will never get my medication from here again, and I don’t recommend anyone else do so either if they want to be treated with respect.
