This is probably the oldest shop in Middlesbrough (certainly the town centre,) passed by today only to discover it will cease trading due to retirement. Sad to see another old school independent trader leave the town centre, it'll probably turn into an international grocery store or kebab shop.

very friendly and helpful, got what i wanted at a good price i note the shop is also mostly lit by 60s/70 atlas/thorn pop packs!! excellent to see old lighting still in use

Fantastic service! The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and they went out of their way to help us get the items we needed. A wonderful range of affordable lights and DIY products.

Owner is arrogant and ignorant. Quick enough to take money off you, but has no interest if item faulty. Blames everyman and his dog, shrugs his shoulders and doesnt want to know. As the saying goes... you only get what you pay for... certainly wont visit that rip of merchant again.
