Yolk Farm Dog Walking Field

Great dog walking area just off the A1, even in terrible weather. The cafe and farm shop are also excellent. Great stop for the whole family.

The field is not well maintained. In addition to the difficult access (you can't drive into the field), there was a hole under the fence, the agility equipment (wonky sticks in the ground) we're not mown around, there were multiple large dock plants (poisonous to dogs) and very small for the cost per hour. Would not recommend.

Yolk dog walking field is in a great location, we bought a take-out coffee, on site, to have in the field when we arrived. The field itself is away from any distractions and completely secure, don't forget your personal security code to allow entry through the gate......perfect! There's a shelter in case of inclement weather, for the humans of course 😉, a tap and bowl for drinking water - essential for busy, happy pooches! Also a couple of pieces of agility equipment. Bring treats and train your dogs how to use them in this fabulously fun environment 😀 When your time is up you can wander across to Yolk Restaurant for something to eat, very dog friendly too. You'll get 2 menus; 1 for you and a Dog Menu. If you have a dog/s who you don't like to take off their lead in normal circumstances for whatever reason, no recall, fear of traffic or other dogs etc., this is ideal. My dog's recall is virtually non-existent, getting better, but 🤦🏻‍♀️. It's wonderful to let him off lead to run and play, sniff around and generally enjoy himself playing with another dog. It costs £9 for 1 hour for 1-3 dogs, worth every penny!

Spacious field for dogs to run around. I have 2 dogs that can be reactive around other animals, this was not good for us as it’s right next to the lamb field and they were trying to get to them, we had to cut our session short as they wouldn’t leave them alone. If I had known this before then I wouldn’t have booked.

Whilst travelling to Scotland for a family holiday we stumbled across Yolk Farm. It fits every need of a dog owner and gave our 2 digs an opportunity to burn off some steam after a long time in the car. Easy to book and workout and the staff were super friendly. We will defo be using them again on our next trip!!
