At the end of the car park is the start of the walk up to Ogden Kirk and the Druids Altar Stone. It passes an area that was a demonstration area for dry stone walling techniques which was built during the 1990s. Ruins beyond was the site of an old ale house for the delvers who worked the quarries. The Ogden Kirk rocks are a protected geological site. The Druids Altar itself has a long history. The walk can be continued across Thornton moor, Flappits, and Bingley moor and down to the Druids Altar at the St Ives Estate and Bingley.
From what I can remember this is just the end of a track near the car park. A little further along someone has built a place where you can view all the different types of dry stone walling including miniature bridges etc. More interesting than it sounds.
Brilliant walk!
