The Barn

Stayed with friends for one night , it's a lovely converted building in the centre of the village , rooms are spotless , beds were large and very comfortable, good menu choices for breakfast which was piping hot and delicious and the owners were great.

Loved our one night stay, the barn is a converted barn but it is very well furnished. The room was spotless, the bed was huge and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was lovely and not rushed. A lovely chilled night we loved it and would stay again.

Really friendly and helpful owners. Greeted with cafetiere coffee and homemade biscuits on arrival, range of snacks in the room, which was super comfortable and clean. Fab!

I had a wonderful stay at The Barn as a solo guest whilst travelling for work. I booked the mezzanine room which apparently is the smallest room but was more than adequate for my needs - a very comfortable double bed with spacious bathroom and walk in shower. Slept very well, no road noise, breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I usually stay at Premier Inns but will make a point of staying at The Barn again in the future when working in the local area. Thank you to Adrian for the warm welcome and making me feel at home. The Crown pub a short walk through the village is also excellent for an evening meal and reasonably priced.

I booked 2 rooms for my mother and sister in December 2021 and they were thoroughly impressed. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated with no sign of wear, the furniture was also comfy. The host's care really showed through their attention to the little things; the local information guides were fascinating, the home made cookies with filter coffee in the rooms tasted of real quality and the breakfast options were extensive and cooked to a really high standard (there were even 4 coffee bean options at breakfast!) I'm really pleased that this place is down the road from me and I will readily book other friends and family into it.
