Went along to Stoneacre Hyundai in Sheffield to look at buying an i10 car, having driven my previous car for nearly 16 years. Though I've not quite completed my purchase yet , I wanted to leave a positive review about Matthew Spindley, who has dealt with my enquiries from the start and is moving to another Hyundai branch after today. He has been so friendly, polite, knowledgeable and accommodating and has made every visit to Stoneacre enjoyable and reassuring. He found the exact car and spec that I wanted which I am now going to buy. Communication from Matthew has been excellent throughout and I have really appreciated the great service. I wish him all the best for the future and look forward to completing my purchase on the car that he found me. Thank you. Julia Ward
Came down to look at a Santa Fe that was on a good deal. Spoke with Grace who asked if I wanted a test drive, drove it and loved it. Grace was amazing through out and made the whole process seamless. So glad I made the change and would definitely go back to Sheffield Hyundai or would recommend someone to go there. Thanks again Grace
Brilliant service from Ricky and the team. He was very helpful and went out of his way to try and get the right deal for me, i went down with my mum and she also bought the same car. thanks again ricky.. would definitely recommend stoneacre.
We saw an advert for a Kia Ceed Sportswagon in Autotrader, and drove from Glossop to check it out. Matthew was on hand to welcome us and show us the car. He accompanied us on a test drive, answering any questions we had. The car was in excellent condition, and we agreed a sale. Matthew, like all the staff we met, was very friendly and professional. Likewise, we emailed the sales department over a query a couple of days after purchase. Wayne the sales manager phoned us back very soon after, putting our minds at rest instantly. A very good experience at this branch of Stoneacre; they specialise in Hyundai, but there is a good range of other makes and models on show. Totally recommended!
Stoneacre Hyundai Sheffield – A Serious Warning to All Prospective Customers My recent experience with Stoneacre Hyundai Sheffield has been nothing short of appalling, and I feel a responsibility to warn others before they make the same mistake. I reserved a Hyundai Kona that Stoneacre explicitly advertised as having the Comfort Pack — a significant set of features that materially affects the value and desirability of the car. I proceeded on that basis, dismissing other vehicles from my shortlist because Stoneacre’s listing stated, unequivocally, that this car included the pack. Only at the very last moment, after I had invested time, money, and opportunity — did Stoneacre finally admit that the car never had the Comfort Pack at all. This was not a minor oversight. It was a fundamental misrepresentation of the vehicle. Plainly, in my opinion, their aim was to make a car appear very good value at their listed price because they were listing it with this significant pack, presumably with the intention to declare the facts of the car at the latest stage possible (in line with my experience) in the hope and tactic that the customer would simply accept the change and purchase the car anyway. The Conduct of Staff My dealings were primarily with Ricky Whiting, whose communication throughout the process was confused, contradictory, and often barely intelligible. Then, the moment the misrepresentation came to light, his emails suddenly transformed into polished, structured, grammatically correct responses — a stark contrast to everything he had sent previously. When challenged on this, he offered no explanation beyond claiming sudden use of a “personal platform” to write his emails, yet this supposed tool (AI?) was mysteriously absent from all earlier email and WhatsApp communications, leading me to conclude that one of his managers had suddenly woken-up to their misrepresentations and was seeking to ghost-write the emails on his behalf in an attempt to rid them of me and my complaints. Instead of acknowledging Stoneacre’s error, Ricky Whiting adopted a dismissive, defensive tone and attempted to shift responsibility onto me, telling me that “you should have checked” - an astonishing stance given that the false advertisement originated entirely from Stoneacre. His managers, Wayne Hazlewood and Craig Burkitt, were noticeably absent during this whole shocking episode, at no time did they intervene to take responsibility, provide any explanation or apology. All that I received from Ricky Whiting was a complete refusal to accept accountability for the dealership’s false claims. The Result - Because of Stoneacre’s misrepresentation in their listing: • I wasted significant time and incurred unnecessary costs. • I lost the opportunity to purchase other suitable vehicles I had shortlisted. • I was left with a dealership that refused to acknowledge even the most basic responsibility for its own advertising. Stoneacre refunded my reservation fee only after I insisted, but without a single apology or admission of fault. A Clear Warning - If you value honesty, transparency, or even basic professionalism, avoid Stoneacre Hyundai Sheffield. Their handling of this matter demonstrates: • False advertising • Evasion of responsibility • Unprofessional communication • A dismissive attitude toward legitimate customer concerns There are many reputable dealerships out there. In my experience, Stoneacre Hyundai Sheffield is not one of them. Proceed with extreme caution.
