Walk Description

From Danby walk east past Duck Bridge over the River Esk for nearly two miles. Turn south and climb steeply along The Heads, a wide grassy ridge separating the dales of Great and Little Fryup. This is farming land with lovely dry stone walls and sheep and cattle on its slopes.

After dropping down to the head of Little Fryup Dale a short climb over the shoulder of Danby Rigg is through a medieval field system. Return to the lovely main street of Danby.
