Mowbray House Surgery

I’ve been to Mowbray house a few times now, and every time i’ve been seen by an extremely knowledgable and professional doctor. My last appointment was carried out by Dr Forsythe, who went above and beyond in my blood test results, noticing something unrelated that was slightly amiss, and arranging specialist tests to be done. These blood tests were just carried out tonight by Nicola Murray, who was incredible. I do get a bit faint with blood tests, and Nicola was so kind and accommodating. She moved me into a room where i could lay down, and was so gentle i genuinely barely felt anything. I will always recommend and trust the staff of Mowbray house, and feel fortunate that they are my local surgery. A sincere thank you to the team.

Dispensery and phone staff are friendly and professional and helpful However if you have something wrong go anywhere but here, they aren't good at looking for symptoms, don't believe you dismiss you, misdiagnose things as something minor. One example Refused to diagnose daughter who was just over a year as having whooping cough despite her coughing, making an audible whoop noise, unable to breath and then as a result throwing up multiple times a day and nigh for over 6 weeks. Honestly go anywhere else if you can they would probably agree with the black knight in monty python when he said it was just a flesh wound.

Having been a patient for some 20+ years I have never once had reason to complain as to the treatment sought and given by any of the doctors.The pharmacy over the years has had a turnover of staff yet they always come up with the goods ,and always polite and efficient.The telephone booking service ,though occasionally slow due to the numbers of calls it handles,is more than 10/10. In general each and every member of staff is a credit to the surgery in a positive light and I thank them. Keep up the good work, Happy New Year.

Recently had daily appointments with the nursing team, absolutely superb and all the staff were lovely. GP appts are often late, but that’s to be expected and there’s plenty of space in the waiting room
