A charming escape in Haworth: Chuffing Cottage

Ever dreamed of waking up to the gentle puffing of a steam train? Well, at Chuffing Cottage in Haworth, that’s exactly what happens. This modern and stylish holiday home is set right alongside the famous Worth Valley Steam Railway, the very one featured in the classic film 'The Railway Children'. The cottage gets its name from the steam trains that 'chuff' past, offering a unique view right from your window. Imagine sipping your morning tea while watching a piece of history roll by – it’s a bit special, isn't it?
Built in 2018, this semi-detached cottage is part of a development on the site of an old 18th-century mill. It’s wonderfully modern inside, with a bright, open-plan living area on the ground floor that includes the sitting room, dining space, and a sleek kitchen. High ceilings and clever windows make the whole space feel light and airy. There are two comfortable bedrooms in total. One is a convenient double bedroom on the ground floor, which is great for anyone who finds stairs tricky. Upstairs on a mezzanine floor, there’s a king-size double with its own TV and a luxurious bathroom. Both bedrooms actually look out over the Bridgehouse Beck towards the railway line, making for a truly memorable view.
The facilities are spot on. You get off-road parking for two cars (with an electric car charging point), a fully-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and even a selection of books and games for a rainy afternoon. The customer reviews consistently mention how clean and well-presented the property is. One guest, Fiona, who visited in July 2025, summed it up perfectly:
"Chuffing cottage is a lovely, clean and well presented holiday home in a great location for visiting Haworth and the surrounding areas. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering break."
Located just a short walk from Haworth's historic high street, this holiday home is perfectly placed for exploring. Haworth is famous for its connection to the Brontë sisters, and a walk up to the Brontë Parsonage Museum is a must. The surrounding moors offer endless walking opportunities. And if you fancy a day trip, the market town of Skipton with its magnificent castle is just a short drive away. A three-night stay from Monday 27th October 2025 offers a fantastic half-term break.
A luxurious group getaway: Ghyll Crest

Sometimes, you need a bit more space. Maybe it’s for a big family get-together or a celebration with friends. If that’s the case, Ghyll Crest is the kind of place that makes everyone go "wow" when they walk in. This beautiful and wonderfully scenic property is found on the edge of the North York Moors, offering luxury, space, and some seriously impressive views. It’s a holiday home designed for making memories.
The star of the show? It has to be the private hot tub in the enclosed rear garden. After a long day exploring the moors, there’s nothing better than sinking into the warm, bubbling water and watching the stars come out. But the luxury doesn’t stop there. This incredible holiday home has six bedrooms and five bathrooms, so there’s no queuing in the morning. It can comfortably sleep up to 12 guests. Three of the double bedrooms are on the ground floor with their own en-suite walk-in showers, and one is even wheelchair accessible.
The heart of this home is the huge open-plan kitchen and dining area. With two dishwashers, a coffee machine, and even an air fryer, the kitchen is a dream for anyone cooking for a crowd. The sitting room is the perfect spot to relax in the evening, with a big TV for movie nights. The whole property is beautifully presented and feels both grand and comfortable. There’s ample off-road parking for six cars, and even EV charging available on the owner's drive.

From the ground floor bedrooms perfect for accessibility to the well-equipped kitchens, every detail has been considered to make your stay special.
