26 October 2025 fab location well equipped kitchen good job we brought our own dog bowls as none provided good for walking to the beach at cayton bay dog friendly bit worried about the dog with her muddy paws as carpet evewhere even though we brought extra,towels mattress abit soft for me needs replacing

Lovely cottage, but a bit on the small side but there were only two of us so not a big problem. The fridge was tiny so had to buy food almost daily as there wasn't much space in the fridge. The location was great, in a small courtyard with three other cottages around. It was only about a 20 minute drive to either Filey or Scarborough. Would stay again.

This is a group of 5 holiday cottages in a decent area. We stayed in the largest one, the gatehouse, which is a 2 bedroom house with a lovely orangery and its own private garden. It's set away from the other 4 cottages which are smaller and grouped together. One of the big selling points for us was the shared play area which the kids loved. The owners were friendly, helpful, and on hand if needed. It was an ideal location for us.

On holiday here with My daughter and fam, a lovely comfortable cottage, the bed was particularly good, everything was thought about and provided for which was great, really enjoyed our stay, 10 mins from Scarborough and very central for visiting the local area.

Just come back from a lovely weeks break at these fabulous cottages and honestly found them faultless. Lots of nice touches like being greeted by the owner on arrival, tea and coffee and minutes left out to arrive to. There were even sealed unused condiments like salt, pepper and vinegar in the cupboards. Then there's the self catering equipment that's left for your use. All of it was premium quality and that premium quality feel carried on throughout the cottage. Thick curtains, very comfortable settees and recliners. Super comfy beds with luxury bed linen. EVERYTHING about this place was done really really well. 5 star review because it deserved it. Oh and one more thing....... the peacefulness of the place. So quiet at night. We loved it and we would happily return.
