Lavender Cottage Pickering

Lovely house in perfect location a few minutes walk to shops, pubs and cafes. The house is very comfortable and an ideal enclosed garden. A great location for either heading to the coast, the Moors or York, lots to see and do. Great communication with the owner. This is our second stay and we hope to visit again.

This is our 3rd visit to Lavender Cottage & we love it. Gorgeous quaint home with everything we need. Aubrey my greyhound always settles as soon as we arrive 😀 It's in a great place to explore Pickering, very close to all amenities & the centre. Pretty much everywhere is dog friendly & the secure garden at the cottage is a massive bonus. The membership to Dalby Forest provided by Angela is a brilliant idea & means your visit is free. We always arrive to a lovely clean cottage plus a little welcome pack with tea, coffee, biscuits & most important dog treats 😊 We will definitely visit again, I don't think we'll ever get tired of this place

Lavender cottage is lovely and quaint and has everything you need, I personally don’t like a downstairs bathroom next to kitchen which is not exactly explained in the details when you book on line. Whilst the cottage is predominantly clean the windows and blinds and skirtings are disgusting (I suppose these get left as change over days need a quick clean). The outdoor space is nice but again not cared for and the garden furniture is disgustingly dirty. The fire did not work so cold a couple of nights- good value for money but would pay a bit more for a bit more luxury or even cleanliness

The cottage is in an ideal location in Pickering, a very short walk to the centre, yet just far enough away to be nice and quiet at night. Inside it was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with some lovely touches to make us feel welcome. Rooms are a modest size but this is a characterful old cottage so it's what you should expect. Everything worked, shower is good, TV great, WiFi no problems. The garden was a real bonus, very private and peaceful and a perfect outdoor space for our little dog. Free parking across the road out the front was very convenient and never struggled to find a space. We had a very comfortable stay and the communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommended, we would definitely go back.

Lavender Cottage is a charming little place within east walking distance all that Pickering has to offer. Comfortable and clean and with a charming garden. We had a slight problem with a broken key but it was sorted within an hour. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.
