Pickering Pharmacy

On holiday in Pickering and had to visit the pharmacy this morning. It was a most unpleasant experience. An extremely hostile assistant with a very loud voice refused to sell me a product when she knew I felt very unwell. She showed me no sympathy at all and neither she nor the pharmacist suggested any alternative except that I go to a GP - on a Saturday afternoon away from home. I have since checked with both the product information leaflet and a qualified, experienced pharmacist and there was no reason at all that she could not have sold it to me. Fortunately for me, there is a Boots a few doors down. I recommend trying there first to avoid this person making an exhibition of you in a busy place.

Visited with my son who couldn’t sleep the night before with Hay fever. The pharmacist was great and really took the time to work out what we have tried already before suggesting something and offered a non branded alternative. My son had a great night sleep with the medicine recommended. Great service so thank you!

Staff always helpful and pleasant, a busy pharmacy, shame it isn't open 7 days a week and especially bank holidays where there are a lot of visitors (the only chance some get to shop?). The new gov services that are supposed to relieve Dr's and A & E by offering over the counter services is not working here ...yet?

Very rude counter staff. I went in for a support bandage and unfortunately picked a large size. I have very small wrists. I returned within one minute and explained what I'd done, the lady on the counter dismissed me and said once it's left the shop that's it, no exchange. She had a very bad manner and was cold. As a customer you'd think they'd have a bit of empathy and decent manners.....very unpleasant, avoid and take your hard earned cash elsewhere!
