Sadly, I must agree with many others that have left reviews recently. My experience has been much the same as theirs, slow turnaround time and items left owing on monthly prescriptions for over a week. Having read the replies from Scott’s representative, I feel the issues raised are being avoided and we’re being treated like children. If we leave we are told we will likely come back because it’s the same everywhere. Rather than giving me a reading list, please, just answer this one question; if the previous management were able to deliver a premium service right up to the last day of tenure and you took over the following day with no backlog or outstanding work, why have your management not been able to maintain those standards? Did the crisis you refer to happen in the hours between their leaving and your arrival? Telling customers that staff retire and a new culture exists in pharmacy employment whereby, it would seem, there is no goodwill from employees suggests to me, that you are unable to foster positive relationships with your staff or that your staff are not committed to providing good service. In either situation, it does not give a very good account of your business. Having waited (again) for items that should have come well over a week ago with my monthly prescriptions, I have been informed that one item is in stock (so why have you not delivered it to me?), the others are not in stock and will be ordered today. These two items are not in the category of vitamin tablets, one is a controlled drug, the other a hormone treatment. Neither, I imagine, will be drugs used solely by me. Would you care to explain why these are not stock items available as soon as you receive the prescription? Instead of laying the blame at the door of the ‘pharmacy crisis’ or your staff, it might be time to take a closer look at the business model you employ and why it is that you are unable to recruit and retain staff that feel invested in the good name of their employer and the well being of the people the business serves. A very simple maxim would be to find out what’s wrong, rather than who’s wrong. To find the answer to the question, you must be prepared to examine your own practices very closely and with complete honesty. The management team leads by example and that example is then experienced by every customer. If you are receiving negative reviews and unpleasant behaviours from customers (never acceptable), both are a means of commenting on the image being put out and, the image is a reflection of your business style/management. It’s not looking very good, is it?
I have been using this chemist for 35 years and it was always brilliant, I never had any issues at all but recently the service has really gone downhill, late prescriptions, huge queues and this week alone I have spent 1 hour and 50 minutes on hold on the phone. I will give it another month but if it continues I will sadly have to move chemists. In the past I would always highly recommend them but the terrible service now, I advise people to go elsewhere. This is not the staff who are at fault, it a managerial issue, but the staff will be the front line who are receiving calls and comments from very frustrated customers. I hope these issues improve in the very soon ..
Don't like to leave negative reviews. But unfortunately this chemist has gone down hill fast since last owners left . It was a great chemist service was fast and staff on the ball. But now ! Where do I start ! Service is terrible on meds ordered . Queue out the door . Wait 30 min plus for order placed over 7 days ago. Spoke with pharmacist explaining my wife is disabled and I'm struggling to get in to pick up prescription as she cannot get in !! Told short of staff vans not working. But still go in because yet again prescriptions not delivered. I used to use old Scott's in Roseberry square, Great . The used this Scott's when it first opened Fantastic. But now unfortunately a completely different experience. BAD 😔 Girls behind counter can only do so much Run off there feet Not there fault though. Unfortunately or not changing Chemist . Same Shop Same Customers, But People Running it Now 😕
Waited 1 hour 40 minutes after being assured that my prescription was being “downloaded” - When asked if it was nearly ready, they had in fact forgotten to download it. Waited seeing people come and go for a total of 1 hour 40 minutes before getting my prescription! Never had a problem before new ownership, seems like everyone is of the same opinion!!!
Used to be a good chemist, not so much of late, very long wait times usually 30 mins average, you still wait for ages if you drop off to pick up at a later date, regularly don’t have items in. Stock in the shop now is not as good and a lot less variety, very disappointing and I’d rather use elsewhere despite this being the closest. In my opinion it’s not managed effectively any longer.
