Graculus Sculptures

About

Description

Michael Kusz is a Yorkshire-based sculptor who uses inventive welding techniques to transform old copper into unique and often quirkily humorous artworks.

His sculptures of animals and birds - everything from a five-inch butterfly to a nine-foot phoenix - are bursting with life and energy.

They reflect his passion for materials, his keen sense of form and texture, and his keen sense of fun.

“I like to look for the positive side of things,” he says. “I draw on life, working intuitively, with the aim of making my inner critic smile. And if my work makes other people smile too, then so much the better.”
