Row, row, row your boat

How best to soak up the stunning scenery along the River Nidd? A scrummy lunch or an icecream at our café…… followed by a jaunt on the river in one of our rowing boats.

We have 38 boats in all, most seat 4 and a couple are 6 seaters. They’re on the water and available to hire by the hour from March (traditionally Mother’s Day) through to the last Sunday in October.  The last boat goes out at approximately 4pm depending on the season and the weather. If there has been heavy rain and the river is too high and fast we may have to close the boats, this is quite rare but please call to check before you visit.

Life jackets are available upon request and children must be accompanied by an adult. Boats cannot be hired to a single user.  You are welcome to take your dog out on a boat if they have sea legs too!

We do not take bookings, just rock up and it is first come first served, most of the time there is little or no wait. School holidays and weekends can be busy busy, so if its warm and the sun is shining get here early to avoid the queue!

Our lads work super hard through the winter months to repair and repaint the boats so they are fit for work when they come out for a busy season. They are painted with love and each one is named after the staff team and our family. Take your pick…..Fi the Kiwi, Ziggy, Booy
