Description
Sion Hill Hall was designed in 1912 by the renowned York architect Walter H Brierley 'The Lutyens of the North'. With its fine lines, unique character and superb layout, the house was described by the Royal institute of British Architects as being of 'Outstanding Architectural Merit'. This accolade was given to Sion Hill as one of the best houses to be constructed during the Edwardian era. The hall contains the H W Mawer collection of fine antique furniture, porcelain, paintings and clocks all in superb room settings. The hall is set in its own grounds.
