Throughout the years my children have attended both settings of the Arnold nursery school and children’s centre, 2-3’s and 3-4’s and have absolutely loved it. I can say it was an amazing start in developing their school journey and I’m glad we started it here. Seeing how much their confidence, independence and development grew throughout. We had good relationships with their key persons past and present who were and are always there to help nurture them when needed. We were always informed about our children’s development with parent consultations, invited into settings for stay and play days. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to see how our children’s learning was taking place. We have always been welcomed with a warm welcome from staff on arrival, and on pick up they explained everything my children had done throughout the session, nothing was ever to much. We have also used breakfast club which at times made us feel guilty as working parents but we really had nothing to worry about as the staff were so lovely. Thank you to all the staff and teachers who always went above and beyond, it was very much appreciated and you gave our children the best start into school life.

My little boy is currently in the 2-3s room at this nursery. His confidence has came on so much since he started in September and it is definitely down to this lovely setting. He has a great relationship with his key worker and other members of staff who he will talk about to other family members and us. He will talk happily about what he is currently doing at nursery and we have been invited in to a few stay and play sessions. We have multiple parent consultations throughout the year and it doesn't matter if a certain time is needed due to my work schedule this has always been accomodated. I am excited for him to go across to F1 in September and can't wait to see what he continues to get up to at nursery.

I have a little boy who is currently in the 2-3s setting. His speech, confidence and understanding has improved so much since September and it is amazing to see. He talks about all members of staff with such happiness that is so important as a parent to see. He gets up to lots of different activities that he will happily tell us about at home. At pick up it is clearly communicated how his day has gone and any queries have been settled in a prompt manner. I have been invited into a few stay and plays which is lovely to experience with my little boy and nothing seems to be too much trouble to ask of staff. He has had a lovely time in 2-3s and is very excited to go across to F1 and constantly talks about this as we go past. Thank you to all staff and cannot recommend enough.

My daughter has attended Arnold Nursery School and Children’s Centre from the age of 2 years. She spent a full academic year in 2-3’s where we saw her grow and develop. Staff have a caring manner and always put the children and their learning and development first. She is now finishing another academic year in 3-4’s where we have seen her flourish even more. Teaching in class is high quality and provided by excellent qualified teachers. All staff in the nursery show an interest in each child and take on board their likes and dislikes. Children are challenged with their learning whilst staff ensure to adapt activities to each child’s developmental needs. Classrooms and outdoor areas are very well equipped and provide continued opportunities for learning. I have felt comfortable to speak to staff regarding anything for my child and my wishes have also been heard. I’m sad my child will soon be leaving the setting to go to ‘big’ school but because of the input she has had I know that she is ready for that next step. Thank you to all staff (including teachers, management, EYP’s, admin, lunch time supervisors and cook) at ANSCC for all the care you have shown my child. I would highly recommend this setting for your child.

This setting not only allowed our 3 year old child to leave the premises unattended, cross a main, busy road and wander the streets alone, but they also weren't aware of his whereabouts until we, as parents, questioned where he was, upon collecting him at the end of the day. Furthermore, they then lied to us about where he actually was and when we found out the truth, days later, as parent's we were horrified. What could have happened to our child is not even worth thinking about. How our child managed to get past 4 members of their staff unattended and alone, unnoticed is beyond us. To make matters worse, he had numerous accidents, resulting in trips to the hospital, needing stitches, and not one member of their staff could explain as to how these had happened. To then leave our child in his own urine, for what we discovered to be a minimum of 3 hours, is yet another example of the negligence and poor treatment our child received at this setting. Needless to say, our child no longer attends.
