New York Car Sales

I drive past this forecourt every and see reasonably priced cars and a good turn over. I read some negative reviews and decided to ignore them as from communicating with Claire from day one every interaction has been timely and professional.I also read about a pushy sale, this neither was the case I met John and instantly connected and felt assured any issues would be managed if there were to be any. Both are a humble couple and rushed the Corsa we bought through the essentials as was not actually on show when I enquired, and was an excellent price as I did some research and had a green flag car check ✔️ would highly recommend. Outstanding customer service, Claire and the team really make you feel valued. There's no pushy sales pitch and everything was clearly explained on top of being really good value. Even after I had purchased a car the team continued to answer any questions or problems I had in the following months. This was my first time purchasing a car solo and I would definitely return to New York Car Sales even though I'm up in York!

I can't even begin to express my anger with this company. The salesman that I spoke to on the day was quite pushy and did the salesman thing of making me feel like I needed to buy immediately. I know its there job but its a contributing factor as to why I'm so dissatisfied. After a few days of owning the car there were a few problem that came up. first of all there was no oil in the car, literally nothing. again I understand it is not the sellers job to fill the oil for me but enough to have it on the minimum line would have been nice, it was the same situation. Now to the part that truly ground my gears. after about a week or so I had my first passenger and discovered that the window on the passenger side was broken and so was the air con. little things so its whatever. when I brought this to the sellers attention they didn't even apologise about them selling me a car with issues they just told me to take it to there mechanic and that they would fix it. When I arrived at the mechanics I was told that they weren't even expecting me to arrive, they had been told that I would come at some point but not when. I would like to preface that the mechanics have been fantastic and gone above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. Even though they were busy and had other jobs on they still fixed my issue since I was there however they didn't fix the aircon. when I asked why this hadn't been looked at they informed me that they were never even told it was a problem but it wasn't something that I cared much about I didn't bother going back as it was quite awkward for me to get there. Now, just as my warranty has run out the brakes are starting to fail. my local garage that I trust have told me that not only the pads need changing but that the wheel cylinders need replacing as well as something else that I cant remember the name to. All in all I am incredibly disappointed with the car and the seller and would advise that everybody stay away and save your money as I feel scammed and furious and want my money back. Just adding a little detail after the fact the clutch is also possibly going but I need to test this more before I could confirm

Ensure that you get the car fully checked before buying. They'll have no problem selling you a car with 95% worn break pads and expensive parts very close to needing to be replaced without telling you. We had a bad experience here. Can't recommend. In response to the reply below, My wife purchased the car on 15/7/19 (Blue Citroen C3) and you didn't even bother to write an invoice number on the receipt.

Awful service. Bought a car from them. In a week breakdown. They argued to repair under consumer rights act but then tried to repair car. Fixed fuel pump for 6 weeks then turbo blown. Another 2 weeks. Tried to fix that then a week later that went again. I gave up and scrap sold the car. What a waste of time effort money and my health trying to find out what was happening every day. Upto you for me never again this was July 2019
