I recently visited the Ee store at Rotherham parkgate due various faults with my iphone, where I was advised to visit an Apple Store for a same day replacement as my phone was still under warranty. Apple then advised me to revisit the ee store to make an insurance claim. The second ee store I visited advised me they could send my phone off for inspection/repair and could only offer me an android as a loan phone ( I use iPhone ) this was no good to me. I have spent the past 2 days on the phone to various different departments within EE. Passed from tech support, to insurance, back to tech support, to level 2 tech, to Apple and so on. The overall customer service from EE has been absolutely diabolical and beyond frustrating. I currently pay monthly for my iPhone on contract as well as full cover insurance. I have also had to take a day off work unpaid to receive my replacement phone via DPD, rather than being able to collect a replacement from an EE store. After the recent experience and clear lack of professionalism I am left baffled as to how Ee can claim they’ve been voted the best network for 12 years running. This has without a shadow of a doubt been the worst experience I have occurred and will certainly not be staying with EE when my contract ends. After 2 full days of being passed from pillar to post, driving to various stores and now also taking a day off work the last thing I expected was to be told I have a £100 excess to pay. It seems EE have a clear disregard for their customers and are not valued at all. I have been with EE for a number of years and until now have always been left satisfied. This recent issue has left me feeling very much dissatisfied and rather annoyed with how difficult this whole process has been. Thankfully this has happened before taking out 2 new contracts for my partner and son which certainly will not be happening now. I for one am appalled by the misinformation, lack of professionalism and general attitude of certain EE staff members. A customer now lost.
Awful experience in this store. I enquired about a SIM card change and was convinced to upgrade my broadband while I was there. After reviewing the deal later, I realised that I would be paying more for the same download speeds. I tried to cancel over the phone (within the 14 day cooling off period), but was told that I would still be charged and I couldn't go back to my previous account as they had already closed it. The colleague in the store said it wasn't her problem and wasn't bothered that I was paying more money for the same speeds. Very unhelpful, so I've now completely cancelled all of my services (including mobile) and taken my business elsewhere.
Although we live around the corner from another EE store in Sheffield we always use this store in Parkgate. Jordan is always helpful and friendly. Seems like a genuinely nice person. We're always sorted fast and always happy with the service there. Thank you 🙂
