Nice place for a quick walk, there is not a great deal to see because the path is mostly fenced in. The area around is nice near the canal also. In the summer it's nice. I don't ofter see a lot of people, couple of dog walkers at the most.

First time here- the canal was so peaceful and relaxing. Felt save and plenty to look at especially with trains going by. Perfect place to walk, run or bike riding. The canal is accessible for all uses including wheelchairs.

The walk from the bottom of Shepcote Lane, underneath Tinsley Viaduct, following the River Don as it rejoins the Sheffield to Keadby canal is quite nice, with the added advantage of seeing ducks, moorhens, kingfisher and other birdlife, but the nature reserve is underwhelming.

It takes about 40 minutes walking from Rotherham town centre. the footpath is mud free and suitable for kids riding bicycle and avoid the canal water. the small ponds inside nature reserve are not accessible.

Underwhelming to say the least. A bit of a sad and sorry state when I visited today. Might be better at different times of the year but not much to see apart from mud and bracken.
