Well! Thanks everyone for you helpful comments, our personal experiences were excellent of Winking Willies in Scarborough. Fish selection was excellent, batter light superb…… chips I’ve had better but I’m biased towards battered chips obviously!! Only other slight gripes I love D&B with my meal & I detest packet sauces….. but only the whole a totally excellent experience & great location too……

Lovely server called Emma who was very attentive. Bit more pricey than other places but nice cuppa and good friendly service. Fish could do with being drained a bit more before being plated. Curry sauce has a Chinese five spice hint.

Delicious battered fish. Friendly and genuine Yorkshire service. It was very quiet on the day we ate there. Weather not great. Seating was all downstairs, but on busier days the upper level of the cafe is open and the views over the harbour are fabulous. Senior citizen deals on a fish meal with drink.

Each member of staff was very friendly, the food arrived piping hot, we arrived fairly late in the evening so it was quiet where we were sat, but there is plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs. We did not have any cash left as we had been robbed by the pay & display machines in Filey and they are unable to add a tip to a card payment so if you think you would want to tip the staff then bring cash.
