Terrible. Have been in scarborough branch twice now and both experiences have been bad. Older lady behind the counter has a really bad attitude towards customers and not willing to help with any inquiries

Second time I’ve been into the Scarborough store, and used plenty of other Howdens stores with no problem. Met with unfriendly staff with an attitude. What a shame, don’t use Scarborough, go to another.

Overall the service is very good and nice quality for most budgets. I have done 9 kitchens now and compared against those from others, also tried dealing with most of the competition these are nice people not always getting it 100 per cent right but a very competitive offering and if they don't have it in stock will try to find it nearby within the same day or 2. The reps and designers have time for you and are not pushy. Tradespeople rate them well on quality and convenience when bits are missing etc.

This store is absolutely rubbish at dealing with customers. They claim they don't deal directly (Happy to let me pay direct to purchase though!) with the public when it comes to resolving a problem. If you are considering a Howden's kitchen using this store for your installer to purchase through then please take my advice and go to Wren or Magnet. The branch manager shouldn't be in the position.

We received good advice on all of our kitchen — except for the worktops which are a marble effect and despite the designer’s reassurance that they would clean ok at 8 weeks post fit they are already becoming marked. This a very disappointing product and we are hopeful that Howden’s will compensate or replace as these worktops are simply not fit for purpose.
