Gallery seems to be poorly managed. A shadow of what it used to be. About 3 years ago there was a free creative space. Educational classes and some good community exhibitions that may have moved elsewhere. Now they have a few outlandish limited interest exhibitions given over to single artists who are 'in' with the management. The coffee shop used to have paperbacks to read, now you feel you can't sit there unless you spend a fiver at least. I reported the flashing lights in the toilets but nothing was done. Reception too busy peering into their computer screens to notice anything much. The whole place needs a rethink. I waa surprised how many businesses are upstairs including specsavers cleaning out ears!!

Always a pleasure. Went to open studio day and was very impressed as usual. Beautiful space, great cafe with stunning views, great coffee and a perfect bacon bap.

Nice small art gallery with a lovely café. On top of that the café had a nice view. We escaped the rain while exploring Scarborough and stayed here for a little while.

Lovely, grand old building to visit with very pleasant, welcoming staff. Just along from Scarborough's main art gallery near the handsome crescent. It has a toilet and a café, but just one large room on the ground floor for exhibition space. I think there was a smaller room also, which was closed off when I visited. Not an awful lot of art to look at but still worth a visit. Lofty, spacious and most pleasant, peaceful café which served a great and tasty vegan sausage and cheese roll. Yummy aftertaste.
