M&J Tailoring & Dry Cleaning

This gentleman is a professional tailor. He has altered several of my coats and jackets as well as a treasured evening dress. His work is impeccable. I can recommend him highly.

I took my white leather jacket in for repair the owner kept it for months claiming he was going to clean it aswell as repair it . There was always an excuse why my coat wasn't ready and was told each time to come back next month . In the last 2 weeks I have visited the shop for my jacket on the 3rd occasion he claimed my coat wasn't in the shop but at his home. He wouldn't give me eye contact carried on sewing as though I was invisible . Luckily I kept my receipt on leaving the shop I told him that I wanted my jacket back . I got my friend to go in the shop yesterday he brought the jacket out . The £40 repair was glued not stitched . Somebody has been wearing it also got yellow stains on both sleeves . My jacket is ruined . I could of bought some glue myself and done the repair . I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone he's lied and ruined my jacket . Very bad service and repair . Don't use if you value your goods.

Had a broken zip on a dress I desperately needed in a couple of days and it was repaired within a day! Absolutely wonderful service was delighted with the result and just couldn’t believe how fast it was done! Can’t recommend this place enough x

Sadly we had a bad experience with the service here. Was told a dress would be ready 1 week after drop off, when we arrived on the agreed date it wasn’t ready so we were told to come back later in the week. We also dropped a tie off to be dry cleaned but 2 and a half weeks later (and after being told 3 different pick up dates) it’s still not ready. We had high hopes based on previous reviews but now are left with an item not ready for a wedding tomorrow.

I brought my wedding dress in about 3 weeks ago to be taken up, it only took 2 weeks and I’m so impressed with the work that was done, not only was it taken up but he also placed a hook at the back to hold up the train and steamed it. All for an amazing price. I couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to wear it next week! Would highly recommend!
