Flames of Scarborough

Following a recent house move my wife and I finally had an external chimney breast with an old gas fire, so we explored the opportunity of fitting a multifuel log burner to fulfil a long desire for fire lighting! We soon realised that this was a mine field with lots of online adverts stating a full install price without defining a scope of work. Upon further investigation we soon realised that many of these online offers were simply cheaper as the stoves themselves were poor quality. A close family friend who had also been down the precarious sourcing process then showed us their quality stove and recommended Flames of Scarborough, York or Hull. Following a passing visit to the Hull store we decided to visit their larger Scarborough store where their sales team were simply superb with the advice and knowledge they had and they answered all our questions, showing all the most suitable options and defining the entire install process in detail. Their advice and guidance were simply first class, and their knowledge and experience really showed. They say referral business is the best type of business, and we would have no issues in recommending their service to anyone. We are so pleased with the results, the installation team were first class and the quality of the stove is self-evident once you learn the differences in stove quality and suitability.

Excellent customer service experience. We were met with a knowledgable member of staff in store who explained the process and helped us select a suitable stove. The fitters were on time, friendly and completed the job promptly. A demonstration of operating the stove was provided before the fitters left us, we would definitely recommend.

I went in today to book and pay for my installation. What an amazing lovely lady inside. Not only did we speak about the items I wanted plus any upgrades but we ended up chatting about life itself, the most pleasant experience I’ve had in a long time with 10 / 10 customer service skills. The company should be superbly proud to have Libby working the front desk and phones etc she’s a credit to the team. All booked in for the 13th January with every detail explained to me and my options. Couldn’t be happier truly and if you’re reading this Libby thanks again. Hard to not get judged when you’re 6 foot and covered in tattoos but this lady spoke with me like I’d known her years. Superb all round

It is one of the best places in Scarborough to grab a takeaway when you want something tasty, reliably good, and friendly. Their pizza is always fresh—handmade base, generous toppings—and you can tell they're putting effort into keeping the flavours bold and honest. The kebabs and burgers are also top quality: well-seasoned meat, good portion sizes, and everything piping hot. The staff are always welcoming. Even when it's busy, they stay cheerful and seem to genuinely care about getting your order right. It’s rare to have long waits; most times, the food is ready when they say it will be, which makes a big difference when you’re hungry! Prices are reasonable too—great value for what you get. The location is also handy, and whether you pick up or order in, it feels like Flames takes pride in making the experience good. Overall, Flames feels like a local classic: familiar, comforting, and consistently satisfying. I still make sure to stop by whenever I’m in the area.

Had a new gas fire fitted today by Flames of Scarborough and I am absolutely over the moon with it. The guys in the shop and the fitters were very helpful giving lots of advice and they were very flexible with regards to my installation date to fit it around my commitments. My property was very much respected and they were very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend using this local company, they offer first class customer service and their staff go the extra mile to ensure the best customer experience. Thank you Flames.
