Great beer and cider choices, best fish and chips in York and super friendly staff in a historic pub. A must visit. Thanks Jason for the excellent sightseeing recommendations 👍🏻
When in York there are an abundance of historical pubs and The Three Tuns is one of them. When I visited on a Monday evening it was empty and I only had one pint, but still it has plenty of character and is definitely worth visiting.
we stumbled across it at lunchtime. We decided to stop in for a pint and a bite to eat. I had the tuna sandwich with chips the sandwich was packed, and the chips were excellent too. It’s a charming old pub with lovely, friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing by.
Love the interior design! had a pint of pale ale and loved it. Staff are very nice, i definitely recommend coming here. However they were playing a strange selection of 2010s pop music which was quite a surprise.
This pub was on my to do list in York, but we actually stumbled across it at lunch time & thought we would get a bite to eat as well as a pint. I had the cheeseburger & wife had the tuna sandwich with chips. Cheeseburger was really good & the tuna sandwich was rammed full. The chips were also very good. I had a pint of Rudgate Valkyrie, which I thought was lovely. Really nice old pub with lovely members of staff. Really worth a look if passing .
