Madina Masjid Sheffield

Beautiful Jamia Masjid. Alhamdulillah something for us Sunnis to be proud of. But I did not the best experience though. The member of staff from the masjid was standing by the door as I tried to enter, he told me he was closing up, and questioned why didn’t you pray earlier I seen you enter you went to the Wudu facility and then went back out. So I explained to him I was travelling from Birmingham and couldn’t make wudu at the time for whatever personal reason so I thought I’ll quickly have some food from across the road and come back and pray by then should be able to make wudu. But he wasn’t having it, then I asked him is there any other masjid near by I can go pray in thinking maybe he will have some ihsaas and give me 5 mins to make wudu and pray 2 rakat qasr. Instead he directed me to another masjid seemingly deos. Not blaming him but not an experience I will want to remember. Allah Azzawajal bless him. Surely a masjid of that size should stay open in the winter from zuhr till isha

One of the best mosques I have ever visited! Well organized! The mosque staff provides all the necessary information and even they helped me to find some good Muslim friends who can solve my issues with pleasure 🙏. We offered Jum'a prayer at 2 pm. Imam's lectures so touching. Car Park available. If the car park is full then can park in nearby streets. No double yellow line or permit is required.

The Muslim community extended an open invitation to the public today as part of the Heritage Open Days programme. Everyone was very welcoming and we were given a tour of the building and its facilities. There was a wealth of reading material in the reception area, and lunch was provided for all guests. The most striking feature was the stunning chandelier hanging from the dome in the main prayer hall and I had to share it for all to see. Thank you to everyone for such a warm introduction to Islam!

Masha Allah, it is a very beautiful and convenient environment for brothers and sisters. A Sunni Mosque with a decent parking space that can take up to 20 cars. The Jummua iqamah time is 2pm.
