I've been here 3 times over the last few years and had quite a different experience each time. The first time the food was very substandard and some of it was actually burnt, the second visit the food was a lot better generally pretty good. This time was not good. The samosas were very nice but the mains and the naan bread were swimming in oil. I know the dishes should have some oil but this was a very off putting amount. The meat in the chicken curry was also quite dry. The service was ok but slightly pushy. This will be my last visit
Really disappointed to be honest and won’t be returning. Food was average and I felt sure it was Saturday leftovers reheated Sunday. The food order came out wrong on the table and I found the waiters to be quite passive aggressive about it, almost insinuating in a ‘jokey way that I now have free food…. ( I didn’t ask for that so not my mistake) it’s such a shame, we have heard reviews that the staff can be very rude and the food can be hit or miss, but decided to give it a go anyhow. Butlers and the curry spoon are far far better and not rude. I do not recommend this place at all.
Had a meal here with work friends on a busy Friday night. My Only criticism is the portions were slightly smaller. Really liked the food though it was authentic, tasted fresh and had fantastic nan breads The hospitality was brilliant from the staff Overall really good value for money and a good atmosphere in a clean well kept restaurant I recommend this place!
Ordered LAMB. Actually got Mutton, it may well have been Lamb 3 years ago. The meat was boiled until it had no taste whatsoever. Please, if you're gonna serve old sheep, have the decency to be honest on your menus.
First time back here after it was closed a year or so back. And it was bang on form. Visited on a quiet Thurs night around 930pm with my wife. Nice to have an IPA on the beer list rather than the sadly-now-lower-alcohol usual lagers. Dry white wine also very pleasant. Most importantly, the food was truly excellent. My wife can be (is) quite fussy; we requested the keema mutter without the peas & very mild; it was spot on, tender and really smart use of spices to give flavour rather than heat. Her side of fries would grace any Belgian establishment, where they're the national dish! My spicy lamb was beautifully cooked, hot enough for a night away from peer pressure, and the mushroom rice beautifully cooked, full of flavour. We probably didn't need the side of garlic nan, but it was equally good. As you can tell, we'll doubtless be back!
