Date night with my wife, who ordered Cashew Stir fry with the chicken (medium spice) and egg fried rice, which cost £16. Barely any time chicken and hardly any flavour. Will try one of the different optiona at Cambridge Street Collective next time. Not value for the price.
Visited this place inside the Cambridge Collective food court for the second time. I had the best Padthai with Shrimp ever here (apart from in Thailand itself), decent portion sizes also. We also tried the vegetarian spring rolls which were lovely. Would definitely visit this place again.
Delicious food but the massaman was a little without love. Tried to order a somtam and sadly they’d sold out so settled for a holy basil stir fry instead which was delicious. The massaman however was a disappointment. Perfectly flavoured but the potatoes were so undercooked and sauce incredibly thin. That said requested hot spice on both which was perfectly executed. As we were close to closing time it felt the meal was rushed, 10 more mins and I imagine it would’ve been perfect but hard potatoes and runny sauce did not meet expectations.
My mum, a month back, ordered a meal, then got a refund as she was waiting 40 minutes for a pad Thai. I never would complain as I work in hospitality myself but this was really bad. My family all had our respective meals from various vendors, we went down and saw the receipt still in the receipt printer, and the chefs were chatting away. When asked for some ‘prawn crackers’ or ‘spring rolls’ so she has something to eat they said no, and offered us a refund. Really lousy service if you want to keep a customer happy, something small would’ve sufficed.
Exceptional panang curry!! Just spent 2 months in north Thai land and this curry totally competes with authentic dishes I had in Thailand. Absolutely delicious 100% reccomend if you fancy a Thai.
