Cloud Platform Engineer (SRE)

<strong>Role Overview</strong> <p>We are seeking a skilled <strong>Cloud Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)</strong> with strong expertise in <strong>Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong> to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and automated cloud platform capabilities.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have strong experience in <strong>Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, API management, and cloud networking</strong>, along with a strong <strong>DevOps and SRE mindset focused on reliability, automation, and observability</strong>.</p> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><strong>Cloud Platform Engineering</strong> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain <strong>secure and automated cloud platform capabilities</strong> on <strong>Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong>.</li><li>Support <strong>API Management platforms</strong> and integration services across the organization.</li><li>Develop and maintain <strong>cloud infrastructure architectures aligned with platform engineering best practices</strong>.</li></ul> <strong>Infrastructure as Code &amp; Automation</strong> <ul> <li>Develop and manage <strong>Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC)</strong> solutions.</li><li>Implement automation for <strong>provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of cloud resources</strong>.</li><li>Maintain and enhance <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> using tools such as <strong> Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Harness</strong>.</li></ul> <strong>API Management &amp; Integration</strong> <ul> <li>Support and manage <strong>GCP API Management infrastructure (Apigee)</strong>.</li><li>Implement <strong>API Gateway solutions</strong> and integration platform capabilities.</li><li>Ensure secure API design using <strong>REST/OpenAPI standards, OAuth, mTLS, and certificate lifecycle management</strong>.</li></ul> <strong>Containers &amp; Kubernetes</strong> <ul> <li>Design and manage <strong>containerized workloads</strong> using <strong>Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)</strong>.</li><li>Implement <strong>container orchestration, scaling, and service mesh technologies such as Istio</strong>.</li></ul> <strong>Networking &amp; Security</strong> <ul> <li>Implement and manage <strong>GCP networking components</strong>, including:</li><li>Load Balancers</li><li>Cloud Armor</li><li>Secure networking configurations</li><li>Ensure <strong>security-by-design principles</strong> across the platform lifecycle.</li></ul> <strong>Observability &amp; Reliability</strong> <ul> <li>Implement <strong>SLO/SLI frameworks and observability solutions</strong> to ensure platform reliability.</li><li>Configure monitoring tools such as <strong>Dynatrace or other observability platforms</strong>.</li><li>Optimize system performance and reduce operational overhead through automation.</li></ul> <strong>Collaboration &amp; Platform Enablement</strong> <ul> <li>Work closely with <strong>architecture, DevOps, and development teams</strong> to evolve the cloud platform.</li><li>Enable teams to deliver <strong>API-first services using reusable platform capabilities</strong>.</li><li>Contribute to <strong>documentation, knowledge sharing, and platform best practices</strong>.</li><li>Mentor team members and contribute to <strong>engineering standards and communities of practice</strong>.</li></ul> <p><br /></p>
