Senior Cloud Engineer
<strong>Role Overview</strong> <p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Cloud Engineer</strong> with deep expertise in <strong>cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, and DevOps engineering</strong>. In this role, you will contribute to building and operating a <strong>strategic platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong> that supports next-generation digital services aligned with the organization’s long-term technology vision.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have strong experience in <strong>GCP infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, service mesh technologies, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code</strong>, along with a strong <strong>Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset focused on reliability, scalability, and security</strong>.</p> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><strong>Cloud Platform Engineering</strong> <ul> <li>Architect, implement, and maintain <strong>highly resilient, scalable, and secure Kubernetes environments on GCP</strong>.</li><li>Engineer and optimize <strong>Kubernetes infrastructure</strong> supporting <strong> multi-tenant workloads</strong>.</li><li>Ensure strong <strong>resource isolation, operational scalability, and high availability</strong> across cloud environments.</li></ul> <strong>Kubernetes & Service Mesh</strong> <ul> <li>Manage and operate <strong>production-grade Kubernetes clusters</strong>.</li><li>Implement <strong>service mesh technologies such as Istio or Anthos</strong> for secure service-to-service communication.</li><li>Configure <strong>Istio telemetry, sidecar injection, and mTLS enforcement</strong>.</li></ul> <strong>Security & Governance</strong> <ul> <li>Implement strong <strong>security controls</strong> including:</li><li>OPA Gatekeeper policies</li><li>Fine-grained RBAC</li><li>mTLS encryption</li><li>Secure service mesh configurations</li><li>Apply <strong>least-privilege access principles and cloud security best practices</strong>.</li></ul> <strong>CI/CD & Automation</strong> <ul> <li>Build and maintain <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> enabling automated build, testing, and deployment.</li><li>Implement <strong>Infrastructure as Code (IaC)</strong> using <strong>Terraform</strong>.</li><li>Automate platform provisioning and configuration using modern DevOps practices.</li></ul> <strong>Observability & Performance</strong> <ul> <li>Implement <strong>observability frameworks</strong> using tools such as:</li><li>Prometheus</li><li>Dynatrace</li><li>OpenTelemetry</li><li>Diagnose and resolve complex <strong>performance, networking, and automation issues</strong>.</li><li>Optimize system performance and ensure platform reliability.</li></ul> <strong>Collaboration</strong> <ul> <li>Work closely with <strong>engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams</strong> to deliver <strong>cloud-native solutions</strong>.</li><li>Support the <strong>full lifecycle management of cloud-native services</strong>.</li><li>Contribute to <strong>engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives</strong>.</li></ul>
